LCCO offers four different scholarships to students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an institution of higher learning or a post-secondary education program. At least one scholarship will be awarded in each category and each scholarship will total at least $500. The number of scholarships awarded, and the actual value of each scholarship will depend on the number of qualified applicants and the availability of funds. Students may apply for multiple scholarships using the same scholarship form.

This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence.
Applicants must:
- Have GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Be enrolled in or accepted to an institution of higher learning or a post-secondary education program
Living in District 1 of Guntersville is NOT a requirement for this scholarship; however, preference is given to students living in the district.

This scholarship was named in honor of Ms. Ophelia P. Chandler who was a dedicated leader in the Lakeview Community. Ms. Chandler was a founding member of the Lakeview Community Civic Organization (LCCO), where she held key positions such as president, vice-president, and treasurer. However, Ms. Chandler’s commitment to the community extended beyond LCCO. She was deeply involved with her church and served on the city school board, museum board, and mental health board, showcasing her passion for uplifting and bettering the lives of those around her.
Applicants must:
- Be accepted to or enrolled in an institution of higher learning in the year of the award
- Exhibit a commitment to serving others and their community.
Living in District One of Guntersville is NOT a requirement for this award; however, preference will be given to residents of the Lakeview Community and those living outside of the community who have given back to the District One/Lakeview Community through their community service.

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students from the Lakeview Community.
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in or have been accepted to an institution of higher learning or a post-secondary education program in the year of the award
- Exhibit financial need;
- Reside in the District 1/Lakeview in Guntersville at the time of application or a who lived in the District One/Lakeview Community at the time of graduation from high school or obtaining a GED.

The original Lakeview School of Guntersville, Alabama operated on what is now called Williamson-Harris Park. The school taught students from grades 1- 12. Although the school continued operating until 1968, the Class of 1967 was the last class to graduate from Lakeview School. This scholarship is established by the Lakeview Community Civic Organization, in honor of those who attended Lakeview School and in recognition of the prestigious position the Lakeview School held in our community.
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating high school senior or enrolled in an institution of higher learning in the year of the award.
- Be related by birth, marriage or adoption to a student who attended the original Lakeview School of Guntersville, Alabama.
- Be able to identify the Lakeview School alumni to whom they are related.
